As per the subject; we're using DBGhost 5.1.0.104 to compare two local databases and receiving a .NET exception in the UI.

We have tried limiting the comparison to just stored procs and just tables, in an attempt to narrow things down, but the exception is thrown in both cases.

We would appreciate some assistance with this a.s.a.p. please.

Here's the full stack trace in case it's of use:

Length cannot be less than zero.
Parameter name: length

System.Exception: Length cannot be less than zero.
Parameter name: length ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Length cannot be less than zero.
Parameter name: length
at System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy)
at Innovartis.DBGhost.ChangeManager.PageSummary.AddCompareRootNodes(Boolean IsSchema)
at Innovartis.DBGhost.ChangeManager.PageSummary.backgroundWorker_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e)
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---
at Innovartis.DBGhost.ChangeManager.PageSummary.backgroundWorker_ProgressChanged(Object sender, ProgressChangedEventArgs e)

We are looking at this now. Any chance you could email support@innovartis.co.uk with the screen shots of all the steps you took through the UI pages and the options page or save and send us the settings file.

It rings a bell so expect it is fixed already. We are checking the code deltas now.

We see the code that is most likely the issue. Coincidentally this was fixed in the very next version.
